The other day I was throwing some food in the disposal and C says "Mommy you should compost that. Why don't we compost?"
The only answer I could think of --other than 'because I have always done it this way' (which is what--gulp--old people say, right?!) --was "Because I am lazy."Sometimes I accuse Andrew of being uncooperative when it comes to doing things that are more environmentally/health friendly. So when my kids asked me a basic question to which the only excuse I had was "I'm lazy" there was no way I was going to ignore the wisdom of youth.
And so we have gotten ourselves a green garbage can, and we are officially composting (flies be damned)!
