Chickens

This weekend we signed up to care for the chickens at school.  C and D's school has a chicken coop with 5 chickens in it, and families sign up to care for them during weekends.  You clean the coop, feed the chickens, and get to take any eggs home.  Very fun.  Now if only I could get my kids to clean up their rooms with the same gusto with which they went about cleaning up chicken poop.

We took home 3 eggs!

Happy Birthday Golden Gate Bridge

Thank you for getting my girls to and from school safely each day.  And I swear that someday they will drive over you and think "Wow, this is spectacular.  I can't believe this was my school commute" and not "Why do you keep saying how pretty it is...I mean I see this every day Mom" like they do now.

p.s.  The fireworks scared the girls too much so they didn't last long (despite Andrew's valiant attempt to get them there).  We'll see you in 25 years.
