Eight years ago on election night I jumped on a plane to move to Paris. I left to an announcement that Bush was our president. I landed with an announcement that no one knew who won.
In the past eight years I'd like to think my life has gotten better and better. As for our country...well, you know the story.
Today my kick ass little girls got a crash course in citizenship as they waited over an hour with me to vote. They were a little disappointed that Obama wasn't actually in the polling booth, but they were incredibly well behaved.
Andrew came in as I was reading to C/D and said "Hey ladies, Obama is our new president!"
(Then we laughed and said "We hope you'll like public school!" : ))
