If there's one thing that plays in my favor these days it is that everything seems big when you are small. Have you ever been back to your elementary school as an adult? It seems way smaller doesn't it? This works well for me given that we live in a small 2/1 apartment. Even on sick days when we are inside a lot, C/D still find new things to explore in our tiny space. They put on their backpacks and head off together. They'll end up in the dining room/craft room/random stuff room playing with stickers or in their "secret hiding place" (Andrew's closet) flipping through books. When you are little, home can feel safe and secure and exciting and new all at once. I can't imagine what they'd do if given the chance to "explore" some of my friends' houses...they'd probably ask for camping equipment to venture off into the Price's house.
