C and D saw their first play--Peter Pan (and yes, this is August and they wore THAT to a play. This summer sucks!) We went with my mother, Barrett, and Michael. They were generally pretty thrilled by it all. Things got a little dicey at the end of the first half because there was a lot of pirate action (D's first comment when the lights went up at intermission was an urgent "Let's get out of here!") D calmed down after a treat at the candy counter at intermission. C wasn't having anything to do with Captain Hook though, so I took her to visit Andrew at his office right next door and then we headed back in to watch the end once captain hook was dead. And Tinkerbell was a bit rough around the edges even for my anti-Disney tastes. But all in a very positive first experience with the theater.
