An Open Letter to the Kingman Family

Dear Kingman Family of San Francisco,

We are very sorry we stole your christmas tree. Please understand, it wasn't intentional. We made our annual trip to the Christmas tree warehouse down on the waterfront.
We carefully picked out a tree (after the obligatory bouncy housing and sliding) we liked, bought it, and watched as it was put on top of our car. We even took the tree out for a spin on our way to a birthday party that morning.

It was only after extricating the tree from the garage door opener (because after the party my wife-- forgetting that the tree was on the top of the car-- drove the car into the garage), that we realized that the tree had grown two feet since we purchased it four hours prior. It had also morphed from a Noble Fir into a Frasier Fir. Then of course, we looked at the tag on the tree, and realized that it said not "Dodson" but "Kingman." Oops.

Now if you will excuse me, I believe I hear my Cousin Eddie driving up in his RV.

Wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas.

A. Dodson
