Lucky Ladies

D and C are lucky ladies. They get to go visit their grandparents, which they think is the COOLEST thing to do on earth. Two weekends ago when A was gone all week I took them to my mom's and Chris's to hang out on Saturday. They were in heaven. Between the baby strollers and grocery carts they drive everywhere to the 40 minutes they spent "sweeping" with the toy brooms my mom got them, it was a pretty good day. The only thing they weren't psyched about was that they didn't get to stay for a "slumber party."

This past weekend, when it was REALLY hot, we decided at the last minute to go to Carmel for a night. C/D--budding travelers that they are--were thrilled. Of course, halfway down they figured out Gram and Sam were not going to be there, and they cried "bait and switch!" But they still had a great time at the beach and the pool (new, at Tehama, where we got married) and I'm really hoping we get lots of nice days like that when we visit this summer when Gram and Sam are actually there.

Here are some pics (D in the sometimes risque giraffe suit) and a short video that I like mostly because C kept saying "No Daddy" over and over. (All she wanted to do was walk by herself into deeper water until she couldn't breathe. Sweet!)
